This is a question I guess most people are ignoring. Why Africa? Is indeed a great question which really needs most attention. Why is Africa suffering in abundance of riches? Has this got be the fact that Africa is indeed cursed? If so, where lies the prove? Or has the suffering of Africa got to be the fact that we are simply not getting fair opportunities to compete with the West?
Africa being the second largest and undoubtedly the richest continent in this world in terms of mineral resources has indeed nothing to show. With the mere mention of Africa, what actually comes in mind is HIV, poverty, hunger and so on. The untapped resources of Democratic Republic Of Congo is estimated around $24 trillion more than the GDP of America and the whole of Europe combined but yet still poverty hangs around DRC like a medal.
I guess you are really going to attribute DR. Congo’s poverty to maybe some corrupt leaders.The truth of the matter is is that it takes two to tango. It takes corrupt leaders and his allies from the West to kill Africa. It really pathetic to see how America and its allies are keen on destroying Libya in the name of overthrowing a single soul-Qaddafi.
What Africa really needs after 400 years of slavery and more than a century of imperialism is indeed take control of its own affair and really move forward in unity and strength.
To indeed have a say in their own internal affair and matters that matters them most and not to be manipulated and forced down by what they believe in not.
Our leaders do beg in expensive executive suites. Craving for few pounds abroad amidst all the riches Africa has to offer.
